Update from foster: Blitzy is a nice dog.  She is medium-low energy.  She'll follow you around, rest in a doggy bed when you're relaxing and is happy just be with you. She rarely barks.  She knows "sit" and "lie down" with food, and we are working on getting it better without food.  She has also learned to use a doggy door.  Although she is relatively mellow, she can definitely hold her own on long hikes - she hiked Mount Woodson (8-9 miles) without any problems.  We experimented walking with her off leash and with a 25 foot retractable leash, and she seems to be OK in general.  While off leash or on a long leash, she will wander a bit, but she looks out for you and comes back when you call her.  When on leash, she sometimes pulls, but using a gentle leader head harness prevents her from doing that, and we have walked a dozen times with it, 20 minutes each time.  She is a eye-catching dog with her fashionable spots!  We were curious about her breed mix, so we recently sent her doggy DNA to be tested by the Wisdom Panel.  The breed mix identification report will be provided to her new family (results available mid-January).
