Update from foster: Licorice is a happy dog and wags her tail a lot.  She loves to play with my Siberian husky. I have heard her bark only while she plays with my dog, so seems to be a generally quiet dog.  She pulls a little while walking on leash, but using a no-pull harness seems to help.  Licorice is very food motivated, which makes training her a bit easier.  She currently understands "sit" pretty well.  She sleeps in a crate in the bedroom at night and has learned to use the doggy door.
